At GMDC, Inc. we have created an effective and rewarding program focused on turning your excess/surplus inventory into profits. This will provide more time for you to concentrate your resources and manpower on the important daily operational requirements of your company. Below is an overview of a typical proposal, which may be customized to meet your needs.


OBJECTIVE:
This program enables the consignor to financially benefit from the considerable resources GMDC, Inc. offers in its marketing and sales strategies. Performance of this program is measured by three key elements:

  • Timely turnover of inventory.
  • Highest consignor return on investment.
  • Largest possible sales volume.

INVENTORY REVIEW:
Both GMDC, Inc. and the consignor will identify and jointly agree on the final inventory for sale. Among the criteria evaluated will be condition, quantity, documentation and other pertinent information. A final inspection of the material will also be carried prior to its acceptance into GMDC, Inc.'s stock.

LOCATION OF CONSIGNMENT:
We highly recommend warehousing the consignment physically at our designated facilities. There are several advantages to that strategy.

  • It will increase our ability to sell items on an AOG basis.
  • Freight charges overall will be reduced.
  • It will free warehousing space at the consignor's location.
Additionally, GMDC, Inc. will co-insure the consignor's property against fire, theft, accidental damage and any other coverage as necessary. The consignor's material will be segregated. Customized activity reports may be negotiated and made available on request.

SALES/MARKETING STRATEGY:
GMDC, Inc. will position the material for sale to all identified target clients. These include end-users, maintenance facilities, operators and selected pre-qualified stockists.We may also list the items on various databases in order to enhance their market accessibility. GMDC, Inc. will also devote extensive resources to technical analysis, and work with OEMs and repair facilities to determine optimal part number configurations achievable. This will dramatically increase the sales potential of any given item.

PRICING/INVOICING:
After completing intensive technical and commercial research, GMDC, Inc. will recommend target market prices on the material. Alternatively, the consignor may set a minimal saleable value on each item. If deemed necessary, GMDC, Inc. will seek the consignor's cooperation in selling the item below the established minimum.

Payment will be made according to a negotiated schedule that reflects what GMDC, Inc. believes is a fair share to cover administrative costs, marketing, warehousing, quality control, shipping/handling and other overhead. A lower percentage to GMDC, Inc. may be negotiated if consignor elects to maintain warehousing of the inventory. Modifications, repairs, bench checks, overhauls and related overhead carried out to render an item more saleable will be fully deducted from the sale price of the item.

We suggest that the consignor remain on this program for a minimum of 24 months, with extensions negotiable. Upon conclusion of the program, GMDC, Inc. may reserve the first option to purchase or the first right of refusal on any remaining item.
