SETTING A HIGHER STANDARD
IN QUALITY ASSURANCE

At GMDC, Inc. we take pride in our strict adherence to the highest industry and government quality control standards. We also maintain inspection system requirements of ISO 9002. But more than that, our internal quality requirements meet or exceed those standards.

Our quality standards include thorough classroom or factory training of inspectors with all necessary reference material to identify and determine the status of any item we handle. That material includes:

  • Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPCs) for identifying component numbers, systems, supply vendors, etc.
  • Overhaul Manuals for verifying manufacturers' specifications within the documents supplied by the vendor.
  • Service Bulletins that verify the application of the latest modifications as stated in the accompanying documentation supplied by our approved repair agencies.

Each incoming item is visually inspected to verify condition, quantity, correct part and serial numbers as specified on GMDC, Inc.'s purchase order. All traceability and required documentation must accompany the shipment. If any requirement is missing, the item is placed in quarantine pending rectification of the problem.

Spares also undergo the same rigorous inspection process before shipment to the customer. This is to confirm full compliance with their purchase order requirements.

This inspection checklist is also performed before an item is shipped for repair/maintenance, and again when the item is returned to our facility. Inspectors also check to confirm that maintenance release tags are properly completed and that each part is accompanied by complete documentation of the work performed.

Each life limited (engine) component must be accompanied by a Life Limited Parts document produced at the time the part was removed from the engine. Complete certification criteria are confirmed, including total time and total cycles. Sources of information on the component (maintenance release tags, disk removal/ installation sheets, log book entries, etc.) must accurately trace the history of all life limited material back to birth.

If you are interested in scheduling an on-site audit of our facility, or would like a copy of our Quality Assurance Manual, please contact our offices at your earliest convenience.

Sincerely yours,

Ziad Ghandour
President
